Cuauhtémoc also known as Cuauhtemotzín, Guatimozín or Guatémoc; c. 1495) was the Aztec ruler (tlatoani) of Tenochtitlan from 1520 to 1521, making him the last Aztec Emperor. The name Cuauhtémoc means “Descending Eagle” or “one who has descended like an eagle” (As it swoops down on its prey).
I made this portrait of Sitting Bull on my iPad Pro with Adobe Draw in Woodcut style.
Sitting Bull was a Hunkpapa Lakota leader who defeated General George Armstrong Custer during the Battle of Little BigHorn.
He led his people during years of resistance to United States government policies. He was killed by Indian agency police on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation during an attempt to arrest him, at a time when authorities feared that he would join the Ghost Dance movement.

This is a digital drawing based on a sarcophagus from a Mayan ruin in Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico. Meet King Pakal of Palenque, also known as the Mayan Astronaut (based on the fact that the Mayan ruler appears to be at the controls of a spacecraft). More info: Pakal on wikipedia
