Vietnam Veteran: Madison Palmer Jr., USAF (Ret.)

Spokane Veteran Madison Palmer Jr.

Continuing my series of Spokane area Veterans, I’ve painted this portrait of Madison Palmer Jr.

This one is very special to me, not only because Madison is a fellow veteran, but he is also one of my closest friends and brother in Christ. I presented him with this portrait at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington (Photos).

Madison served our country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era. He joined in 1974 and became a Security Policeman. He was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford; Mather AFB, Ca; Anderson AFB, Guam; Dyess AFB, TX; Norvenich AB, GE and his last assignment was at Fairchild AFB, WA until his retirement in February of 1995.

Honoring Vets

Went to the Spokane VA Medical Center to honor a fellow vet (Jerry Hood) by presenting him with a portrait I made of him and ended up being honored by winning the VA art contest at the same time (Best of Show)! Wow!

Thank you, Spokane VA! #HonoringVets #SpokaneVA
