He Is Not Here

He Is Not Here By Antonio Romero

16” X 20” Acrylic on Canvas

“He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”
— Matthew 28:6 KJV

I was inspired to paint the empty tomb a few years ago around just before Easter.
“He Is Not Here” depicts the Garden Tomb hewn into rocky terrain, the great stone rolled away, the entrance open and empty. I painted it in rough, raw strokes — because that moment deserved nothing polished or comfortable. It deserved honesty.
Original acrylic on canvas. 16” x 20”. Hand-signed. One of a kind.
This Easter, it could hang in your home, your church, or your sacred space as a reminder of what that empty tomb means.
